Director of Demand Generation
As the Director of Demand Generation, you will be responsible for building our entire Demand Generation function from the ground up. Reporting to our COO and fractional CMO, you will be the first ever Demand Generation hire and will create a department that will lead the company to scalable, predictable growth. In your first year, you will have three reports, two of which you will be responsible for hiring.
–Build a predictable, scalable growth model from the ground up
-Fully own all aspects of Demand Generation including lead generation programs, promotional campaigns, database management, lead nurturing, and working in lock-step with the Sales and Sales Development teams to assure qualified meetings are being set for the sales team.
-Build a small team to hit very specific 2022 and 2023 goals.
-Lead a junior marketing operations associate to build a robust database lead life-cycles, lead scoring, database hygiene, dozens of nurturing tracks,
-Create a reporting infrastructure to not only report on life-cycle stages but in-depth program metrics.
-Build a system and culture of a/b testing. Optimization and iteration will be key to all of the demand generation initiatives
-Work closely with our sales development team so they have all the data they need to follow up efficiently and effectively. Create a feedback loop so we can nurture recycled leads effectively and optimize on programs.
Entrepreneurial: The idea of building something from the ground up is extremely exciting to you. You understand that it’s going to come with a lot of roadblocks and headaches but you get that it is all part of the process. You are a futuristic thinker - you can think 2 years ahead and know what you are building toward.
Curious: You love experimenting with different methods, campaigns, messaging and closely measuring the results and making recommendations and iterations based on the data. You understand that making mistakes is part of the process and you continue to acknowledge and learn from it. You also keep a pulse on the marketing tech landscape to find new ways to create better customer experiences and increased revenue.
Enjoy developing talent: After you build out the initial team, you must be focused on assuring the team will work hard but will also be provided an opportunity to learn and grow in the direction they desire.
– 7-10 years in B2B demand generation
– 3-5 years of managing people
– Experience evaluating, selecting and implementing platforms and processes
– You are currently or most recently a member or leader of a B2B demand generation team
